Up in the air! TRAINFES training Teleton Institutes in Chile

At TRAINFES we are starting a new and marathon mission! Between April and June, we will be training therapists from 14 Teleton Institutes throughout Chile in TRAINFES methodology and equipment.

Although we trained the Santiago Teleton Institute team at the end of March, it was on Friday, April 8, that we held our first training outside the metropolitan area.

The destination was the Teleton Institute of Concepcion, located in San Pedro de la Paz, where we met their incredible team of therapists.

This marks the beginning of a new collaboration at the regional level, which will allow Teleton centers to have:

  • New FES equipment based on functional electrostimulation.
  • Training in the correct use of equipment for cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, stroke and other diagnoses.
  • Training in TRAINFES methodology of integral rehabilitation (Occupational Therapy, Psychotherapy, Speech Therapy, as well as electrostimulation).

As TRAINFES team, we are extremely motivated with this collaboration. In this way, together with Teleton, we will be giving back movement to hundreds of children and patients from Arica to Aysen.

Our next destinations in April will be Antofagasta, Calama, Talca, Temuco, Puerto Montt and Valparaíso.
